PROJECT DESCRIPTION
About 46,000 people visit Anaheim Disneyland each day on average. Waiting for a ride is not only boring but also the fantasy experience gets disconnected.
VOYA is an interactive device for fans at Disneyland that enhances fan experience by helping users travel Disneyland more efficiently and actively. It allows fans to capture and share their memories in new and various ways.

Disneyland
The company Disney is almost 100 years old. They have created countless numbers of characters and cartoon animations. Statistic shows over 93% of American children have the memories of Disney characters. Disney culture has become part of our childhood.
Disneyland was first constructed in 1955 to bring our childhood memories into reality. Nowadays, adults visit Disneyland to recall their nostalgia and children go to dive into their dream world. Disney’s efforts to create a dreamland are still ongoing.
Design Statement
Waiting lines are long and boring. They disconnect visitors from the fantasy experience. The mission is to provide a personalised user experience that entertains even during their waiting time by providing them an exclusive and unforgettable memory in the theme park.
“Entertaining" can be defined different for each person. Some might enjoy what others don’t. The difficult goal to achieve in this process is the exclusivity for the individual. Me and my team tried to find the best design by creating the scenario in Disneyland.
User Flow & Wireframe
The interface pages indicated in the full wireframe link are not the completed form of the system. It is impossible to complete the full system interface. It is because of variety, exclusivity and personalisation. All Disneyland sections and rides have different themes and stories. VOYA interface will also adapt depending on the ride.
There are two different types of interactivity available in VOYA. One is 'interacting with the objects', and the other is ‘interacting with people’. Object interactivity allow the users to dive deeper into Disney’s fantasy, and People interactivity allows the users to be social and communicative for wide entertainment.
Brand Value & Interface Exploration
“Magical”, “Adventurous” and “Playful” are the VOYA brand identity. VOYA is a tool that reconnects the Disneyland user back to their expected fantasy. The product, system and interface should all have the feeling of those attributes to fulfil the fantasy user experience.
